Ilse Crawford

Designer and creative director, Ilse Crawford's Studioilse creates the big idea behind a brand through its emotional values, and then makes them visible and tangible through design. Studioilse then offers cross disciplinary skills to realise this vision: from creative direction, design strategy, interior architecture and interior design to product design as well as PR and marketing. Crawford believes this holistic approach is key to a successful product with a strong USP and longevity, as well as giving greater value in design.

Projects have included the award-winning restaurants for Grand Hotel Stockholm and Soho House New York hotel and club. Crawford is head of department of well being at the Design Academy Eindhoven, and also author of two books namely Home is Where the Heart Is and Sensual Home. Crawford has worked as the launch editor of Elle Decoration, vice president of Donna Karan Home and as launch creative director of the Swarovski Crystal Palace project. Her current projects include the launch of the Inn brand and Soho Beach House Miami.
