Frank Tjepkema is a Dutch designer based in Amsterdam. After studying at the Technical University of Delft for two years, he graduated (cum laude) in 1996 from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. Following this he obtained a MA degree from the Sandberg Instituut Amsterdam in 1998. In 2001 he started his own agency, together with his partner Janneke Hooymans. They work as a team on various projects, varying from lamps, vases, jewellery and furniture to complete identities and interiors for brands such as Droog, Ikea, British Airways and Heineken. Tjep has won the Dutch Design awards twice.
